Kylie and Kendall Jenner started hanging out with Selena around 2014 because Kris Jenner (their mom) saw Selena as a walking bag of cash.
Selena was at a good place in her career and Kris was trying to sign her. Selena played along as well because she felt it would be a good decision for her career since she was switching managements anyway. Kylie and Kendall got along with Selena kind of well. Although one of the main reasons was because their mother asked them to.
Kris had told them to get close to Selena and Selena knew it as well. One rule Selena had was that nobody close to her was supposed to speak with Justin.
This friendship was not exactly an ideal friendship. It was just Kylie and Kendall using Selena for attention. It was a mutually beneficial friendship that could help both the parties.
However , Kendall and Kylie were close with Justin. They had been friends for a very long time but somewhere along the lines , Kendall began hooking up with Justin. Kylie stuck to just flirting with him occasionally and remained friends.
Selena thought of the both of them as good friends . They went to coachella together and they would have sleepovers and go to clubs together. She even told them about Justin and her. Kendall was being an amazing supporting friend on one side and was hooking up with Justin on the other.
Selena found out what had been happening behind her back and absolutely flipped. Kylie and Kendall had told her that they were not speaking to Justin or even interacting with him. However , Kylie was still texting Justin and Kendall was hooking up with him and having threesomes with Hailey and him. A important thing to know about Kendall is that she has always been team Justin. Justin can never do anything wrong in her eyes. She will do anything to stay close to Justin. She never liked Selena because she was with Justin. Kylie liked Selena and they got along well but Kendall was just straight up using Selena to get closer to Justin.
Kris had told Kendall to not hang out with Justin and pretend to not be friends with him around Selena so signing her would be easier. Kendall agreed even though she hated the idea of it.
After finding out what had been going on , Selena unfollowed the both of them and had a huge fight with them. Kendall called Selena a 'Self obsessed bitch' if I remember correctly. Yes , I know people who had a front row seat to this fight.
Keeping it simple , "sources" close to Selena tell this to TMZ:
She basically means she did not want anything to do with them anymore. When that turned out to be a lie , Selena stopped talking to them both.
Selena deleted all their pictures together ; publicly telling everyone that she's not friends with them anymore. "Selena" called them toxic and Kris Jenner heard about that. The funny thing is that Selena never called them toxic. It was probably Kris Jenner herself who released the statement to get maximum publicity. Now that she could not sign Selena , she vowed to destroy her image instead. TMZ is only reliable sometimes.

Surrounded by booze and drugs? Why? Just why do drugs somehow involve themselves in everything Selena does? . The reason Selena fought with the Jenners was because Kendall was hooking up with Justin behind her back. Where did drugs even come from? Selena never said anything about it so why the fck? Everyone needs to know that when drugs get involved with Selena's name , it is always Scooter or another third party that is involved.
Selena might not be a saint but she has never had a problem with drugs or booze.
Remember how we told you Selena was in and out of Rehab for lupus but Scooter Braun made it seem like she was there for drugs? .
That was Scooter's way of protecting Justin. By making Selena seem like the bad influence. Kris Jenner did the exact same. Selena's lupus diagnosis was not out to the public yet so she made it seem like Selena was the party girl who went crazy and dumped the Jenners over Justin.
The fact that no one checked why she went to Rehab is the funniest thing about inside sources. No Inside source ever told us the real reason Selena was in Rehab. Selena was dragged and made fun of for being an addict. Where were all the self proclaimed inside sources then?
And here's another funny thing : "not only do Kendall and Kylie eschew drugs and alcohol"

TMZ is a source that is only reliable at times. Scooter Braun has paid TMZ to post articles about Selena being a drug addict and drunkard before so their reliability is not 100%. For example , this article is one which Scooter Braun payed to be published :
Back on topic , just three days later after the article about Selena dumping the Jenners comes out, Kris Jenner makes a statement on Kylie and Kendall's behalf about Selena being a drug addict and alcoholic and that she is a bad influence on Kylie and Kendall. Where have we heard this before? Right , throwback to Scooter Braun spreading lies to make Selena seem like the bad influence on Justin.
At this point , everyone was using Selena's rehab stints to defend themselves and make it seem like she's an alcoholic and drug addict. When in reality , she was struggling with chemotherapy and lupus.

It's almost as if Kendall was waiting for her mother to release a statement so she could hang out with Justin. The second her mother did , she ran off with Hailey to meet Justin.

As mentioned before , Kendall and Kylie were not the ones making statements about Selena to TMZ , it was Kris. Selena just had a fight with Kylie and Kendall and that would have remained a petty fight if media had not gotten involved. TMZ had to overdo things and post things Selena never said. Kris saw that and had to respond by making Selena look like the bad guy. Khloe as usual had to poke her nose in as well.
A little aftermath :
Kendall and Selena did work through the issues later on. Kendall never liked Selena and vice versa but they tolerated each other. If there even was that big of an issue in the first place. It was a small fight over a guy and media blew it over and brought drugs and alcohol in as usual. They did not become best buddies but they got along and were good friends for a short time after.
September 2014 : Justin and Kendall go on a date in Paris
November 3 2014 : Selena celebrated Kendall's birthday with her.
November 4 2014 : They share a selfie together
Then , Kendall goes back to Hailey who was getting close to Justin and jumps on her wagon. Now she shades Selena and supports her racist friend :)
